AOMrecord perfectly recognizes pauses between songs and splits tracks precisely!
Adds tags with artist and song name if you listen to music from Pandora or from many other providers like Slacker, jango and Spotify. There are lists of such providers at Google or here, for example.
You can record thousands of songs free or almost free!
Of course AOMrecord is able to record music from other sources that are connected to an input of your soundcard (e.g. from the record player) or from other internet radio stations.
What music can I record?
Basically you can record every song that is played with your sound card. With some providers AOMrecord is able to record media data like artist, song title and album name, too.
This works with many different providers. There are lists of such providers at Google or here, for example.
You can store the recorded audio data in these common formats:
- MP3 – This method was developed by Fraunhofer Institut in Germany. It probably is the most common audio coding technology today. Almost every portable player supports it. This method is protected and not royalty free. For this reason it may not be used free everywhere.
- AAC – This high quality method is very commonly spread. Many portable players support it. This is the file format that iPods and iPhones prefer. This method is protected and not royalty free. For this reason it may not be used free everywhere.
- WMA – Microsoft Windows Media Audio data. This currently is the best sound encoding method. It is supported by many portable players. Microsoft permits to produce WMA files without license fee if you use MS Windows.
- OGG – Ogg Vorbis – is a relatively new compression algorithm that produces files with a good audio quality. It is not yet very common. It may be used royalty free without limitations.
- WAV – the standard audio format, like it is used on CDs e.g. This format may be used without limitation.
Quality and compression rates may be selected freely.
